Wildlife Encounters in Africa

For the past 25+ years I have been exploring and doing safaris for a few months every year.
Often you encounter some interesting wildlife scenes, and this was one of them.

While traveling one morning early through the Etosha National Park in Namibia, on my last geocaching safari walk-about, I came across this Springbok killed by an Hyena. The Hyena was surrounded and harassed by about a dozen Black-back Jackals.

The Hyena tried to protect its kill, but the jackals keep on nipping at, and harassed the bigger animal.

In the end the Hyena tried to make an run for it with left-over carcass, but again the jackals tackle it, and in the end the Hyena just accepted defeat and walked away.
