There are many places in Namibia that capture the imagination of visitors. The Namib-Naukluft Mountain Park is one of them.

When exploring the mountain, it is difficult to imagine that only a short distance away across the mountain, you will find the highest dunes in the world at Sossusvlei and the Namib Desert.

This mountain is full of crystal clear springs and pools. In the Waterkloof ("Kloof" in Afrikaans means "valley), the river-bed is lined with many giant Wild Fig trees, and some even cling to the cliffs.

There is an ancient Bushmen / San people legend of an place, called "The mountains of the moon". This mountains always make me think of it.
